Serving our community

There are several ways you can be involved in our local community. We believe in churches working together to serve, and that serving others is an integral part of our Christian faith.

The Wendy House is a group for babies and pre-school age children, accompanied by a parent or carer. We meet in the Guide Hall in Clarence Road (please click here to view a map) on Monday and Tuesday mornings from 9.45 until 11.15 am and the cost is £2 per family including refreshments. If you'd like to chat to someone about the Wendy House please email Sonya at wendyhouse@vineyardchurch.org

Sutton School Pastors - a fairly new initiative, but we have had our first training course, with the second planned in, and our School Pastors have been making good & positive relationships with pupils from Sutton Secondary Schools.

There is a weekly news & prayer point letter for Sutton Street Pastors which you can download here

Community in Action CAT Team

CAT

Over the past years we have cleared gardens, painted rooms, painted homes, helped with flat-packed furniture ... Often getting referrals through the Social Services, we have been able to help families enjoy their homes, have gardens to play in etc

If you are interested in taking part please email  cat@vineyardchurch.org

Sutton Food Bank

logoSutton foodbank has been serving our community over the past 5 years. Several of VCS folk serve on weekly rotas - as there are plenty of jobs, in a variety of locations. People from Sutton are referred to the Food Bank by Social Services, or their GPS or Health Visitors, and are given a few days supply of non perishable food items to tide them over. We do, however, see the same faces appearing time after time, as there is such a need out there.

For more information, please visit the Sutton foodbank website:   http://www.suttonfoodbank.org.uk/
