What We Believe
So often it's easy to say we believe one thing, yet practice something else entirely. As a church we are committed to helping each other reflect on what we do, and practice what we say we believe, together.

Our main belief and value is that life is meant to be lived around knowing and following Jesus, together. The early church as part of its worship created what is called the 'Apostle's Creed' to help them and others understand who they thought Jesus is and what a life ordered around him was about. So when people ask what we believe we often turn to this creed, as the early church did.

I believe in God, the Father almighty,
Creator of Heaven and Earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ,
God's only Son, our Lord,
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
Born of the Virgin Mary,
Suffered under Pontius Pilate,
Was crucified, died, and was buried;
He descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again;
He ascended into heaven,
He is seated at the right hand of the Father,
And he will come again to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
The holy catholic church,
The communion of saints,
The forgiveness of sins,
The resurrection of the body,
And the life everlasting. AMEN.
