Our Environment

We believe we have a responsibility to care for our environment. To hear more about our values in this area, you can listen to a series of talks entitled "Environmental Stewardship" given by our Senior Pastor Jason Clark in 2007

As a church community this year we are encouraging everyone to follow the 10:10 campaign 10:10 link

So we are together in our purposes here, and able to support, encourage and celebrate with each other - let us know you are taking part by signing up on the link below. Together we can do this and make a significant impact on our environment!

Here are some of our initiatives as a church community:

  • Recycling: We use recycled products as much as we can or have them supplied from sustainable sources, we recycle our own waste and encourage our church community to join us in this

  • Re-use & Re-cyle – Visit our new VCS post-it board. This area gives opportunities to pass on anything you no longer need or use. Furniture, games, cars, or advertise flat shares/ house mates wanted / lifts needed etc.

  • BYO MUGS – To cut down on the need for using disposable cups on a Sunday morning, we encourage people to bring their own mugs to church…many people do!

  • Fair trade - We aim to promote fair trade on all our consumables in our church centre and at our Sunday services

  • Cycling / car pooling – We encourage people to travel together or cycle instead of driving…..

  • Work out your carbon foot print: Please click here to calculate
