Quite simply - these are the teams that enable our Sunday services to happen. We ask that you find at least one team to join and serve once a month. A great way to get to know other people!

The teams

Welcome team
Arriving at 9.15 am on a Sunday morning, duties include setting up our welcome area, greeting people as they arrive at our service, answering any questions and ensuring that visitors and newcomers receive their free welcome packs!

Hospitality
Arriving at 9.15 am for a 10 am start, this team prepare and serve lovely, aromatic fresh coffee, along with a selection of tea and juice. Platters of chocolate biscuits finish this perfect welcome!

House team
Arriving at 9 am on a Sunday morning, we rely on this team to unload (and re-load at the end of the service) all our Sunday equipment from storage… enabling us to do church! David Bowden: house@vineyardchurch.org

Hall team
Arriving at 9.00 am, this team set up the main hall ready for the morning service. Their serving also includes meeting people as they enter the service and showing people to their chairs.

AV team
Arriving at 9.30 am for set up, this team provide all our Audio Visual support for the church service. AV / Media play an integral part of our church service.

PA team
Arriving at 9 am, the PA team provide sound engineering for the service and especially the worship band. Full training provided for those with a good ear!

Worship team
In VCS we have several worship bands, and enjoy a wide variety of styles and instruments.
To join a worship band we ask that you are a member of a small group but do let us know if you have an interest / gifting / skill in this area of ministry.

Vineyard Kids
Arriving at 9.30 am for a 10:20 am start, Vineyard Kids has opportunities to work with children aged 0 – 11 yrs (up to yr 6). Team applicants will be CRB checked. Lorna Owen: kids@vineyardchurch.org

Fusion
Fusion is our younger youth group for youth aged between 11 - 14 yrs (school yr 7 - 9). Team applicants will be CRB checked.

Ignite
Ignite is for ages 14+ (yr 10+). If you enjoy being with youth and are interested in joining the Ignite team, contact Jonathan and Katherine. Team applicants will be CRB checked.

Prayer
We encourage everyone to participate in this team. We meet every Sunday to pray before the service, from 9.30 am - 10.15 am.
There are signs to direct you to the prayer room on the banners at the entrance to Overton Grange.

Creative/Liturgical Arts
If you enjoy exploring worship and church through the context of creative arts, let us know. Creative / liturgical arts are used at most of our morning services, and we have specific services where the Creative Arts team lead us in worship through the use of reflections / media / sound / participatory activities. Communion
We have a team of people who have offered to serve communion as part of the ministry within VCS. If you would like to join this team, please contact Karen. Karen Alton-Cooper

First Aid
If you are qualified in first aid / St Johns ambulance and are happy to join a rota that provides cover for our morning service, contact us.
Our aim is that you would be committed to this for one Sunday, every couple of months.
